Client Review on Value Payment Systems, LLC

Feedback:

Had the same problem as most. Got a letter from the IRS saying we hadn’t paid our taxes. Called the IRS and found out that if you file jointly with your spouse, and you use one of these payment services, you must use the social security number for the person whose SSN is at the top of the return. My wifes’s ssn was at the top of the return, but I used my ssn when I submitted payment through this company. The IRS credited it to me individually, and not our joint tax account. So the IRS has the payment, it was just misappropriated. If you’re filing jointly, be sure to use whichever partners ssn is at the top of the 1040 or whichever tax form you use. This company should have explained that on their website, but I don’t remember seeing any explanation on this. Hope this helps others avoid the hassle of following up with the IRS. This company is legit for making tax payments, just not good at explaining what the IRS needs for the money to be allocated properly.
