Overall Feedback:
It's just a business center now, but this building was the site of WFIL-TV during the early years of television (today's WPVI 6), and more importantly, the home of "American Bandstand", originally hosted by Bob Horn as a local show before Dick Clark took over the gig, when it soon moved over to ABC, which became the first daily showcase featuring rock 'n roll groups and singers, from Frankie Avalon, Fabian, Annette Funicello, Chubby Checker, Bobby Rydell, and many more. Rock may have evolved into hip-hop and electronic dance music (EDM), but spirit lives through surviving recordings. A plaque needs to be installed to commemorate this rite of passage for the teens of the 1950s and early 1960s.
