Its a base... not much to tell, it is sometimes good, sometimes bad.

The worst base I’ve ever been to from housing to medical to access to maintenance to about just anything..Housing:They’re always working on pipes throughout the neighborhood causing flood puddles in yards,weed grow as tall as the fence even when sprayed,flooring feels like you’re going to cave in one day due to foundation issues,bugs out of this world even when Terminix has sprayed. Medical:No doctors are ever available meaning either they’ve PCS or retired which caused a lot of backed up appointments pending until 2 months later is when your appointment is available. Access:3 operable gates with housing all the way on the other end common sense would be to have the main gate where housing is because the ARCENT gate closes at 6 I believe and the 441 gate to housing closes at 10 p.m which means if you’re coming back in town late through Columbia you will have to drive all the way to the main gate just to drive to the other side for housing. Maintenance:Any issues in the house it takes them forever to repair which means they will start,stop,start,stop,start,stop and then finish also pops up at the house no call,etc.to schedule a time for them to come by.If I could give this base no star I would.

So basically my family owns this land originally and lord that was a lot of land but that was good bc we had such a big family....but on the other side when I go there is it just me or r others are treated rudely because latterly I was next I was next in line and the whole group cut me I was mad cause I owned the land and I was hungry so one star. Just saying I can’t do anything about it because I don’t have time to go to the government to get my million dollars they owe me. But overall it’s good there but the thing is always yell

Have many good memories of this air base. Was stationed here in early 70's and would do it all again if possible.

The worst military installation I ever worked on. Do not work at the child development center, the director who is now the acting flight chief, is a spineless liar. She does not back her employees but sets them up to make her look good.

Don't ever get stationed here, never try to make friends of the opposite sex here, and dear God pray you never get assaulted here. You'll have your case serviced by Dewey, Screwem, and Howe partners in law.
