I had an issue with this bank a few years ago and my issue was that an employee from this bank was obtaining personal information about my account and my family account. Which affected my father especially when he got a wage garnishment order against him from the IRS and my father wasn't aware that this employee had transferred money from another person into my fathers account so I wouldn't trust this bank at all with personal information and even after all this the bank hasn't fired this employee from the bank. Oh yeah the scam this bank does annually about winning a new car by mailing you a key in the mail is a scam so dont believe them

I wanted to thank Mary Ellen with member services out of the San Mateo office for her excellent customer service I received today. She was extremely busy with many members and was able to professionally help each customer in-between helping me with my account. She is excellent at her job and wish all people I deal with daily was as nice and professional as she is. Thank you Mary Ellen for your help.

I would like to say that the customer service here is top notch. I’ve never actually experience customer service at a bank where I was address by my last name and resolving my issue was their goal.Helen D is a saint, she resolve all my issues and she even followed up with me later in the day to make sure that my problems were resolved. I will be a customer here indefinitely and I highly recommend this credit union

Opened 3 accounts 4 weeks ago.Checking savings and IRA to roll over a 401k they took several weeks no info until I went in person to another branch and inquired. A week later the 401k was put into my checking account back dated a week instead of the tax deferred IRA that was open to put the 401k in.I called twice left message no call back. Now have been sitting in the bank 45 min waiting to speak with someone.I will be closing ALL accounts here Monday. Every time I deal with San Mateo Credit Union total waste of time. I have zero confidence in them.Was really looking for a long term relationship but 30 days and I have had enough.

I was sold duplicate insurance products on the loan fraudulently, which I requested them to refund , however this request was denied. When getting a car loan, watch out for their tricks in Disability Insurance + Debt Protection or any extra products they want to sell. Be aware of fraudulent sales tactics that loan officers will try to pull on you!
