I took some coins and jewelry in and felt a little overwhelmed by both men. It was a little like tag team and I don't think I got a fair price on all my items as they rushed it. I believed I was told there was 32 ounces of 18 karat gold for $500. Some of the jewelry had diamonds and beautiful stones, which they don't include in weight or money. I am regretting not getting a second opinion before I sold. I didn't get a receipt either which is also kind of questionable. My recommendation is to get a second opinion and always get a receipt!

Young gentlemen was informative and the store had good price. But slightly rude, and sarcastic. Would want to come back for the price , information and location but would think twice with customer service skills and atmosphere in the store.

I had an unfortunate experience with Brian. Brian was inpatient and sarcastic while assisting us. We will not return to oakland Silver & Gold, due to the service we received from Brian. The other staff members Ted and Jennifer were kind, patient, and took time to assist us.

I found these people 5-10 years ago.On a 1-10 scale they rate a 12 for honesty, integrity and a friendly place to do business. Fortunately you do not have to believe me. Count a stack of mixed bills, write down the total sum on a piece of paper. Ask if they would run them through their machine. They handle confidentiality well.Norman Needes.

If you want to make sure you are getting the best and fairest price for your gold and coins, this is the place. Bryan is straight-forward, professional and gives good advice about your options. He also has a sharp sense of humor, so that is always a plus! You end up leaving knowing more than before you came in. Their gold jewelry specialist Jennifer is fantastic also... on my last visit she helped me process some jewelry I wanted to sell for scrap, and she was super informative about the various pieces and what they were really worth. This store is one of those rare places where you know you are dealing with people who are honest and aboveboard. The store also has a fantastic selection of coins for sale which make great gifts. Highly recommend!

I've been coming to Oakland Silver & Gold for more than 5 years. Brian and Ted have alwaysgiven me a great experience! You can always count on full honesty, fair prices, and excellent knowledge. Its almost like I go in and get blessed by buying silver and gold at an honest price, and I'm given gems of knowledge to increase my enjoyment and understanding of buying precious metals!! I have never been treated with anything less then kindness rightouness & have felt taken care of as though I am a very good friend.If you are in the market for selling or buying precious metals, you need go no further than this place!
