Let me start off by saying I have multiple personal real estate transactions each year and I had more than double the amount of the loan sitting in my savings account. I decided to obtain a very small loan so that I can use what I do have for additional down payments on other properties. I would never use this lender ever again or recommend them to anyone. This was my first time using this lender and I would never do it again. Not only did I have a terrible experience, but so did my title company which we use for every single transaction and my property insurance agent. I had so many last minute requests from them at the 12th hour that were absolutely ridiculous. They asked me to obtain a letter from my employer three times because they didn't like the way the first two were written 3 days before closing. I work for a multi-billion dollar company that has presence globally, they do not produce letters that are not standard practice as it is a legal issue. The amount of nitpicking this lender does is something I have never experienced any where else. They also wouldn't accept the way the insurance agent changed the effective date of the property insurance policy even though this is a process the insurance company uses. They requested a revision at 5 pm on the day before closing. This lender should not be dictating how other companies do their job and what they provide. Never again.
