I have been with them since 1997. I have had minor issues but they've resolved them quickly and efficiently. For instance, moment of fraudulent activity; filled out claim and within 24 to 36 hours money replaced. Lost card: visa/debit new one arrived in a timely manner and was able to walk in a PICK MY PIN3 . There is no perfect place sorry to say, but LBSFCU puts forth a great effort to appease their members. My worst moment that worked itself out; deposited a paycheck via atm, they put a 7day hold on it; a check bounced. I called, explained the situation, walked in the same day of call and BOOM situation resolved also fees were reversed. May not have a million branches but they work for me!! Not switching anytime soon!!!

In recent years, each time the credit union rolls out an improvement, their services are diminished. They took away our ability to transfer funds in between accounts. Then, they basically closed the credit union system for three days. Members have no access to online banking or the branch offices - meaning that no one will be buying any large purchases. I am done being disappointed and I’m done with the credit union - after over 30 years.

As a home owner here in Long Beach with excellent credit and over 20 years of job history in the same industry I am disappointed on the lack of service I experienced while exploring getting a home equity line of credit. The loan officer Sharon was extremely poor at communication during the process and showed a lack of concern for my needs. I applied at LBS hoping for a more hands-on experience as compared to the giant Banks like Chase or Wells Fargo. Sadly it was those very Banks who showed a interest in my situation and were willing to customize the loan according to what I needed and what they needed as well.

This place is like a HomeTown Bank. The people there are genuine and helpful; it's a quiet friendly place to do your banking. They are slowly integrating an efficient online banking experience, but the one thing I would like to see them move to is electronically scanning checks into deposit, which they don't have yet, at least I don't think they do.

I have been with this Bank since 2006, and they have always treated me with kindness and respect. I have told my fellow classmates to join this Credit Union. And they have not had any sort of problems with money going into their account or any kind of fraudulent activity. Thank you so much for your customer service.

Customer service is not great. My mom has been a client there for like 15 years and they still accuse her of ID fraud to this day. Example, If you need a set of documents they tell "oh you need your ID". Then you come back with it and they tell you to bring another document. They are underhanded with their treatment/service. I understand those who are by the book, but there's also a thing called 'know you clientele/regulars'. The tellers are trash. The desk people are nice.

Not friendly to elderly. When asking for help my mother was told she needs to change the account on line. But being on line was the thing she needed help with. The representative was not understanding nor helpful.
