Predatory overdraft fees are the name of the game at Independence, including horrific customer service and a primitive online banking interface that automatically forces password changes once every 90 days. Your account went thirty cents overdraft? Independence won't notify you by phone or email, they notify you by PHYSICAL LETTER. This guarantees the customer will have St least two or three overdraft fees applied to their account and by the time the letter gets to your mailbox. Between their checking having no benefits and them taking until 2017 to get chip cards... Give this place a miss. They'll always be right behind the times and always looking to find a way to charge you.
