It is false that this bank does not charge foreign withdrawal fees. I get the standard $5 charge but an additional $22 charge to withdraw 40,000 pesos. The only benefit to this bank is that they allow you to withdraw ~$750 at once. But the fees end up being over $27. This is using a Bank of America visa card, by the way.A month ago, my debit card number was lifted while I was using this ATM machine. I know this because soon after I got an alert from my bank that suspicious activity was detected on my account (somebody in the Philippines tried to pay a water bill using my card info) and my card was canceled. I have only used my debit card in the Philippines to withdraw from HSBC.
