I just closed on a refinance of my home last week, and my experience with Horizon Home Loans was nothing but positive. My wife and I were a bit hesitant to even consider refinancing since we both have seriously blemished credit, but we were referred to Forrest and told he was the guy who could make it happen. From our first meeting with Forrest, he made us feel welcome and kept reassuring us that despite our credit history, he would work to find us a lender. Once the loan process began, Forrest and Robin, the underwriter, communicated with us often to get answers to questions, forward us additional forms that needed completed, etc. and to just keep us up-to-date on how things were progressing along. Communication was primarily through email and the promptness to get answers whether by email or by phone, was top notch. I can honestly say that, at one point, I was concerned that we weren't going to close, but, despite jumping through many hoops for us, Forrest and Robin made it happen. The closing was a breeze, roughly 10 minutes or so, thanks to the organization of the title company. We walked away with a much lower interest rate, an opportunity to clean up our credit report by paying off old debt, cash in hand for home improvements and to pay off credit cards, and a lower monthly mortgage payment. Horizon Home Loans took care of everything they promised from the start, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a home or refinance!
