Client Review on Gulf Coast Gun JewelryLoan
Feedback:
Catching a chicken thiefSo, we have chickens. One night we had 2 come up missing and the third was dead but the carcass was not taken. I set up a motion detector on the carcass and throughout the night as the alarm went off I got up and shot 4 critters eating the chicken. The amount of animals that could attack our chickens was alarming. The next morning I ran down to Gulf Coast Gun to pick up a thermal scope. (This would give me the ability to do some preemptive striking!)They were very helpful and guided me to a Flir Thermal scope. After setting up the scope on a rifle and zeroing it, I excitedly waited for the night to fall.At dark, I walked outside feeling empowered! Slapping the scope up to my eye I quickly became the predator. In complete darkness I crept through the night not really knowing what to expect. Right away I saw the chickens, they showed up red and yellow. Way-cool!!I quickly scanned the woods, looking for the relatives of the the chicken thieves and take the fight to them. It wasn’t long before I saw something.....a heat source, some kind of animal. I, like a ninja, made my way closer and closer until I was right at it. Being new to the thermal scope I wasn’t sure of my target......maybe a rat? I wiggled my foot to see the reaction. It turned and scurried off as my brain slowly made a positive Id.....it was in fact a rat. The target of interest had ran to the front yard. I, being a newby, did not bring a light. The only way I could see is through the scope. The other eye feeling useless naturally closes. As I stepped around the house.....a heat source immediately showed itself. My primal instinct immediately kicked in. My legs immediately crouched, my feet turned sideways and I crept towards my prey.As I got close I could see the tail and the shape of the body. I waited to get up on it to be sure of my shot. Getting the target in the crosshairs, I squeezed off a shot! The bullet hit square in the body. The hole opened up the body and the heat glowed a deeper red inside the carcass. I stepped to the side as viewed the target, trying to get a better view. Suddenly the blob of the red form took shape and to my surprise, I had just shot my landscape light. The tail was the power wire. If I had kept both eyes open I would have seen the light! I returned back to the store the next night. I picked up a light that I attached it my rifle to help keep the landscape lights on my property from becoming extinct! These guys have been very helpful in assisting me with my quests!! Thanks guys!!
