This is a small base, but we really enjoyed our 5 night visit. It had a little kiddy pool, and a bigger adult pool with slides. There is a Burger King, Dominos, and a smoothie shop. We mostly walked from place to place. It is not really a place I would go to if I didn’t have family there. Since it is so small, and it is mostly a training base, it is pretty neat to watch everyone marching around in formation.

The army side of base is not great and morale was consistently low. The base as a whole is nice however, with a small but well kept PX and decent DFACs. Try to enjoy your time there as best you can and look forward to leaving

Decent DFAC food for a joint base, there is a pizza place, Subway, a burrito shack, Burger King, and a new place; which are all good for what they are. The clinic is always behind but seem to try when they can, maybe just understaffed and without the equipment of a large base. Mathis gym is really nice with great staff, probably my favorite place on Goodfellow. There is a second, smaller gym, which is also nice. The Thruft store would be a lot better if they were ever open. I really love the running trails and the running events hosted here. There is a pool, but small children aren't allowed, and a splash pad for small children with nothing for adults. Neither is in sight of the other. My second favorite place here is definitely the library, with a huge book, movie, music, and games not to mention the availability of internet access.

Med group sucks!! worst ran medical center in the country. Tall black guy at the front desk has horrible customer service skills and is very rude. Wonder what his goal in life is?

The Airmen and Airwomen that are not politically correct have my support .. however the politically correct civilian personnel are horrid with a deceitful character and also very sexist ... in their eyes the woman is always right and an investigation consist of heresay
