I was less than 5 minutes after closing when I tried to walk through the door. I would’ve been on time but the detour had me confused. They had a “come in” sign by the door so I thought I may have made it. The door was locked and an older lady put her mouth by the crack of the door and said they were closed. I smiled and said I didn’t know bc of the sign. It sounded like she said she would change it when she walked out. I’m not one to expect people to stay at work late for me. But I own my own business and if a customer tried to come in after we’re closed I offer my help if it’s something simple enough that I can handle after the place is shut down. If it isn’t something I can help I explain so and apologize for any inconvenience. I knew what I wanted and I planned on being quick. I felt a little more common courtesy would’ve been nice even if I couldn’t make my purchase. I never yell at my customers we’re closed through the door.
