Client Review on First Atlantic
Feedback:
I would not recommend this bank to anyone! I left TD Bank and opened an account here, thinking that it would be a nice, friendly community bank with a small town vibe. Since banking here, I have experienced anything but. I recently made a small error in the timing of my checks and deposits. This bank charged me a total of $114 in various bank fees. This was the first time that I had done this at this institution. I am in between jobs, and barely getting by. These fees were almost all of my small paycheck for that week. After long delays listening to a prerecorded message over and over, I reached a human in the Eatontown Customer Service Dept, to request a courtesy reduction of one or some of these fees, I finally connected with Sandy who was not particularly pleasant to deal with and she said she would get back to me soon after going up the chain in management. When I did not receive a call for 48 hours, I wrote E. John Culp II CEO an email and explained my plight. When I banked at TD Bank, I always received an annual courtesy reduction in 2 bank fees, and didn't have to wait several days for a decision. 3 business days later, I finally received a call back from Sandy on behalf of the CEO and the bank decided that I would have to pay the entire $114 in bank fees. They were unwilling to even consider reducing one of their "fees". I guess my business is not considered important enough for this bank and their attitude really shows that. If you don't have a large amount in your account here, one is not treated with any human compassion because you are not worth anything to this bank. I plan on closing my account here, and going back to TD Bank. I encourage anyone reading my review here, to bank anywhere but at this institution because you will be sorry. They threaten that they will report you to one of the credit reporting agencies if you do not repay their outrageous fees!! NO STARS!!!
