Client Review on First Advantage Bank
Feedback:
EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! I was cashing a check written by a business that uses this bank. I signed the back and handed them my Tennessee drivers license. The teller took it then told me she needed another form of I.D. I asked her if there was a problem with the first one. She snidely said “it’s company policy.” I asked for the sake of clarification if my state of Tennessee issued driver’s license was not enough to identify that I was who I was? She said again “it’s company policy.” I gave her my military I.D. She took it and showed it to the teller next to her and said something then another gal walks up and they all three are chatting. The teller returned to the window and said “yeah, we are going to need your social security number.” I said “No! You have two perfectly valid forms of I.D. you do not NEED my social security number.” Then the two other gals joined her and said “if you want to cash a check here you do.” (Let me remind you it was a business check from their bank.) I said “then I am not cashing it here” and asked them if they realized that their behavior right now was going to reflect on the company that wrote the check in the first place (an innocent party)? Their reply was basically we don’t care “it’s company policy.” After gathering my I.D.s and the check I called the company that wrote the check and told them what had happened. They were appalled. They had never heard of their bank asking people for their s.s.# even with two other forms of I.D. She apologized profusely and said if they do not make it right to call her back and she will help me. I spoke with the bank’s branch manager who did nothing but politely tell me his tellers did nothing wrong it was “company policy.” I asked him if their behavior was company policy and he said there was always two sides to every story. So this all boils down to “company policy” not good customer service. I would not suggest this bank to anyone. In fact I would advise you never go to that bank if you value yourself as a human as opposed to an account#.
