IF YOU ARE A CONSUMER APPLYING FOR A VEHICLE LOAN WITH DATCU YOU MUST READ THIS. ONCE YOU HAVE YOUR VEHICLE LOAN WITH DATCU, THERE IS A GOOD CHANCE DATCU WILL NOT HONOR THE LOAN. IN OTHER WORDS THEY WILL NOT PAY THE DEALER WHO SOLD YOU THE CAR .WHEN THIS HAPPENS SELLING DEALER HAS THE RIGHT TO RECOVER THE VEHICLE. YOU WILL LOOSE ANY TYPE OF DOWN PAYMENT YOU PAID. SO DO NOT USE DATCU. THERE IS A LOT OF OTHER CREDIT UNIONS LIKE QUALTRUST, CREDIT UNION OF TEXAS, TEXANS CREDIT UNION WHO WILL PROMPTLY PAY AND FINALIZE THE LOAN.Dealers beware. DATCU will not honor the Drafts for vehicle loans. Just sold a vehicle to a client who has a DATCU loan. The title has been transferred and DATCU is listed as a lienholder. We have provided DATCU with proof of registration and They are refusing to release the funds. My vehicle is gone and I have a piece of paper in my hand with DATCU letter head that is not worth a dime. Already $14000 in the hole because of these crooks. Legal action to follow.
