Before you start your banking with them check your options carefully. don't expect a lot when it comes to loans. I have banked with them for over 2 years, all my saving 100k+, all my earning went to them. Come the time I needed a credit card, never had one before. I applied for one, they only gave a secure credit card, one that you deposit the money first, and only with $500 limit. I thought that is the way it works, and lived with that crappy card for almost a year. very difficult to use because it only rebalance every couple of days, which mean the average limit is always around $200 even if you pay for credit in advance. Accidentally went to another credit union for a business, they offered me a really unsecured credit card for $3000 once I open an account with them. I went back to CTCU and explained the situation. they said they will think about it, and kept me waiting week, after many calls, and a visit to the branch they refused even to give me $500 unsecured credit. Now moved my banking out of here. the other credit union. I am not naming it, because I am not promoting any body here. They kept their promise, and offered a car loan right away.
