I wouldn’t recommend anyone dealing with this company. They hung up on me when I tried to figure out what they were talking about. I called again and they transferred me to a line that just rang and would never be answered. I at least got the gist of it and called the City department in question directly. It was a ticket supposedly on my mom’s car for parking on a street during street sweeping, more than two years ago while she was living 6 hours away. The City Street Sweeping people say they never turned her case over to Collections and don’t know why the Collection company was contacting her and quoting a higher amount owed. I don’t know how they got my phone number since my mother moved up here less than a year ago and the car is now registered in my name and they were calling for my mom using her full name. The whole situation with the citation in the first place was probably a mistake in writing down the license plate number and the ticket was dismissed within a day of my call. It will be interesting to see if Collection Bureau tries again.
