Looking through these other reviews, I can see some people certainly get value from the Calgary Chamber of Commerce (or at least the building) but I include myself in the group that felt like I wasted both my time and my money paying for a Chamber membership and attending the events.I was recently offered to re-join the Chamber for $25/month, and I'm questioning if even that amount is worth it for the hassle.

Being a member on and off since 1989. The membership fee is hefty for a small manufacturing business and it looks like that even they had to downsize as it is not as easy anymore to get a hold of them. Calgary is either hopping or hurting when you can't even get the Chamber to answer the phone. They did help us out during the flood and were very responsive then. We have competition, so we respond immediately. There is only one Chamber of Commerce in Calgary. Hence, my frustration with phone calls going to voice mail by default just like it does with CRA or 311

Had to get some documents stamped and signed and the ladies at the front were extremely helpful! They were very accommodating and friendly while I was waiting. They took the time to help look up our account to verify details and waivers and provided us with information and forms to make our next visits easier! Amazing experience :)

A little bit tough to find if you are unfamiliar with the place, but they do put on some great workshops for their members.
