I didn't feel very confident working with Academy Mortgage. Travis Wentworth was difficult to communicate with. Travis wants to talk on the phone for everything but almost never was actually prepared with specific details of our case. We even physically went to the office to meet Travis and iron out the details, specifically requirements of a gift payment we recieved that would be going to our downpayment. Still, we nearly lost the house. We were informed by Academy (the morning after we signed at 11 am) that the gift payment was not processed and we had an hour to come up with our cash to close. We desperately scambled to fix things and were able to do so thanks to help from family.Academy then sold our mortgage days later, but the solicitations for mortgage insurance arrive daily.
